What Adhesive to Hold Trim on Near Windows?

Hi All - the brown ‘leather’ trim around the bottom of the windows is separating from the window (see picture in album). I suspect I don’t want to use a too-strong adhesive in case the window ever gets broken. Thoughts on the best way to re-glue this? The adhesive let go most of the way around the windshield.

Works great on monkey fur, should work on that.
