Thank you

Majestic in the older tugs. If I ever replace mine, I'll use Jensen.

My 2020 tug has Majestic TVs. If I were replacing them I would definitely look for a "smart" TV that can connect to a wireless network.

The majestic and Jensen are made for low voyage use.
If you go buy one at Costco or a store that is not made for boating the typical DC unit will shut off when your amps drop below 11 amps. The cost difference between a made for boating is about $400 bucks. Don’t go cheap.

Are their "smart" tvs made for marine use (Jensen make one?)

I agree about the smart TV. I wound up rigging a Bluetooth dongle so I could use the Fusion audio system. Far superior to the tinny, weak sound of the integrated Jensen speaker. I also added a Firestick and use my iPhone as a WiFi hub in order to stream. (as long as I have cell service, which has not been a problem yet in the San Juan Islands). Also, be aware that the 19” Jensen can play DVDs with the integrated player, but cannot play Blu-ray Discs. Not that you need Blu-ray resolution on a 19” TV, but many of the discs in my collection are Blu-ray.

We have 2 Jensen TVs onboard our R31-SE.
For some strange reason, neither will play regular DVDs and they both reject the discs. THEY ARE NOT BLUE RAY DISCS, but standard DVDs without scratches or other blemishes.
Anyone else with this conundrum?

Try turning the disc around

Thanks - will try this next time I am on the boat.
