What's noticed when holding tank becomes full ?

Curt: Your solution will only be possible if the holding tank is accessible. For the R-23 and R-27 outboard models and maybe some other RT models the holding tank is buried and cannot be seen.

It' a shame the SCAD Solo cannot be used for a metal tank as I would love to know how empty or full my Webasto force air heater's diesel fuel tank is. In my case, this fuel tank is readily seen under the stove and viewed through the locker under the stove's oven area. The tank is metal/aluminium.
 
Baz. Understood. I noted that Rwnorton has a R27 Classic and wanted to make sure he knew about this additional option.
 
Curt: Thanks..... but that device would be nigh impossible for me to install.

I'm thinking about using a temperature sensitive vertically placed tape to adhere to the tanks surface that shows colors associated with the metal surface's temperature. If this works it should be possible to figure out the fuel level in the tank.
 
Interesting idea. I’m curious to know if it works. Let us know if you try it.
