I know in the past, white gelcoat was available for at least some Ranger Tug models. Living in Florida and shopping for new Ranger Tugs I have been told that White, Cream, or other light colors are not available. I have seen what the Florida sun can do to a dark gelcoat in just a couple of years. The dark Blue RT I saw at the dealer was an absolutely beautiful boat, that I would love to own and would be ready to order if it came in a Florida friendly color.

You guys build a fantastic product, I've owned boats for over 50 years and would love to be your next RT owner but this issue is a hang up. Any solution?

Thanks,
jim

Sea Ray?

just jerking your chain

I don't have an answer. RT has made a styling decision that does not include white, apparently.
Actually, the mental picture of a white Tug makes my tummy feel funny.

What about the lighter colors like Sea mist Green (or whatever they call it). Illusions, among others, spend much of the winters in/near the Keys and the summers on the Atlantic and looks like new.
My classic deep blue hull has spent four winters (part) in Florida and I detect no change in appearance.
Our friends who live in Key West have a deep blue R29 that has spent 4 years on the water 24/7 (not covered) and just sparkles.
I'm thinking you may have jumped to a conclusion that ain't necessarily so (me humming, Summer Time and the livin is easy)
So come over to the dark side - get a blue tug.
Don't worry, be happy, mon.

Ours is Laurene Green, the pale green that Denny is referring too. It seems to hold up well and is very kind to not showing salt spray and scratches. The darker colors do require more cleaning buffing and waxing just because they are darker and show the dirt and grime, but once cleaned and polished they look pretty good.
I often wondered how a white hull with a colored accent stripe, similar to Nordic  would look, but that may border on a trademark infringement and definitely a drastic design change.
Nothing is perfect and any boat will have compromises. Remember, there is always Awlgrip down the road.

I have the Blue Hull and my boat is exposed to the elements year round, it is now in its 5th year. I've often thought of a white hull also, the darker hulls do require more work. I've just completed compounding with Prizm Polish and waxing with Collonite 885 from the cabin roof to the water line. She is shining like a new boat, I know in a few months she won't look as good and the hull will need another wax job. They say boats are a labor of love and best of all is that Ranger Tugs give some back to you. Knotflying's boat always looks good, I've seen pics of a light Grey and Yellow but don't know how they hold up.
Why can't a FL dealer order a light color hull?

Fighting Lady Yellow, and exclusive Ranger Tugs color worked very well for us. 3 years of Texas sun without any maintenance except washing...occasionally. It weathers well and continues to look good.

I must add our beautiful Ranger Grey looks wonderful, but already requires much more work. We love it but the Yellow was much easier.

Can you give me a call I can go over the colors that we have available
