After realizing the Epoch 300Ah LiFePO4 house batteries on my 2025 R27 were significantly discharged while in winter storage, I found out that batteries have Bluetooth capabilities and an Epoch battery App. With the App you can see in detail the state of your batteries by cell. Turns out, my Victron BMV monitor was giving inaccurate info on the batteries state of charge ( SOC). With the App you can see the total voltage and voltage of each cell, along with SOC and more. The App also allows you to shut the batteries off. I keep an eye on the boat and the batteries on just about a weekly bases but the inaccuracy of the Victron monitor allowed the issue (below 20% SOC) to sneak up on me. I’ll recharge the house batteries and then work on getting the Victron BMV monitor calibrated again.
I’m guessing some you ( like Submariner (Martin)) knew the Life PO4 batteries did have an App that provides the critical battery details but just in case you didn’t, I’m putting this out there. Here on some screen shots of the Epoch Batteries App. I have named the batteries Epoch 1 and Epoch 2. Notice the ability to turn the battery off by using the Discharge MOS button on the App. Similarly, the Charge Mos button allows you to switch off charging. Once charged, and then discharged to 80% , I plan on switching the batteries to off. No need to pull fuses on the “always on” devices on the boat if the batteries are switched to off.
