Why is the sternthruster cockeyed?

Had my 2016 Cutwater 30 hauled for the winter the other day and noticed something odd. The sternthruster is rotated about fifteen degrees counterclockwise from horizontal. In other words, the port outlet is aimed to shoot just below the port trim tab and the starboard outlet shoots just above the rudder. Nothing is loose, it's bolted in place that way. There's a Ranger 31 and a Cutwater 26 in the yard nearby, both with similar Sidepower sternthrusters, and both are mounted dead horizontal. Any ideas what's going on?

Prevents hitting the rudder. On other boats the rudder is not that close to the outlet

Thank you Steve. This is exactly why the thruster housing is turned. If we put it straight it would not perform well with the rudder so close.

Thanks for the replies guys. I kinda guessed that was the reason except the other two Fluid Motion boats, with theirs mounted straight, threw me off. Both were older models though. Andrew, was that something instituted in recent years?

Our 2016 Cutwater C-26 has the sternthruster mounted the same way (cockeyed).
