Windlass foot controls broke, made by Lewmar. Old ones are 66mm wide and replacements at 78mm. Lewmar model #68001031, Anyone know where I can order replacement that would be 66mm?

I ended up just putting in the bigger ones as easier to find. They look fine

There is another option that I wish I used on my C26. It is a remote control. The C26 had too small of a locker. It was not deep enough so it required assistance to clear the well as the rode reeled in. The locker lid would be up and I would have to reach around it as I pulled the line in. Then I would have to look around the pulpit to make sure I was not over the top of the anchor as my wife put the boat in gear to take the load off the windless. The foot controls were never used as foot controls. They were used as hand controls with me reaching for them all the time.

I now have Mainship Pilot 34 that has a anchor rode locker that I can almost stand in. It is large enough for 300' of rope and 100' of chain, a spare 33lbs Danforth Anchor and two 10" fenders, and (4) 25' dock lines to fit in it. It did not have bow control, switches. The anchor can be easily retrieved from the helm. That is if you don't store all the other stuff that I store in the locker. I was going to install two foot controls. I started looking at them and trying to decide where to cut the holes for the switches and came across this.https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead ... EFs&adurl=

It comes with a plug receptacle that is mounted in the locker. The remote can be stored in the locker with a bracket that is included or unplugged and brought back to the helm. The receptacle is water tight and the remote is sealed as well. It has a cord 15' that you can move around on the bow as you retrieve the anchor. It cost the same as a (1)up, (1) down foot control and there is no need to cut a hole or enlarge the hole in the deck for the foot control. After installing this in the Mainship the first comment my wife made was "why didn't we have one of these on the Cutwater?"

Another option is to repair them. They are pretty simple devices and come apart pretty easily. I cleaned mine up, sprayed with CorrosionX and they’re now working fine. ,

I installed Maxwell compact foot switches. West Marine has them but you can shop around for the best price. They're almost the same size as the old ones. I had to drill new holes for the screws but otherwise they were an O.K. fit. Only one of the old ones broke but I replaced both at the same time so they would match. Good luck!
