window cleaner

I've been using a solution of water and dish soap to clean the tinted windows on our boat (which is messy and difficult on the inside of the windows) and am wondering if anyone has anything else they use? I read that Windex isn't good for tinted windows...any thoughts/ideas?

Is your boat in salt water?

I use Rain-X Spray. It cleans inside and outside glass as well as adding water shedding protection to the outside and condensation resistance to the inside. HTH, Gary

We use vinegar and water on the inside. With the salt we wash with soap and water on the outside then treat with RainX

Most auto parts store sell window cleaner that does not have ammonia in them which is what I understand should not be used on tinted windows.
