I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but the factory windshield wipers kept coming loose where connected to the wiper arms. I fiddled with it a bit, and it seems that the factory wipers do not positively engage into the brackets. Needless to say they were ineffective in dealing with a wet windshield.

On a whim I grabbed one of the wipers I use on my Toyota Tundra (Good Year 21 (530mm) part # 765-21) and tried it out. Clicked positively into the wiper arm, does not come loose, and makes a much better seal against the windshield than the factory wipers.

They are available very inexpensively at Costco.

Food for thought.

They're too small anyway! Just use rainx, I don't need no stinkin wipers!!

I recently sold my Cutwater but after more than two years I had no trouble with my wipers at all. If they're coming apart in any way something isn't installed properly.

I do not think having installed hundreds of wipers over the years on all types of machinery that the wipers provided were installed incorrectly. I'm suggesting they are incompatible with the brackets.

Apparently there's been some compatibility issues with the wipers (confirmed by factory) that come with the boats and the motors / arms installed on the boats. I'm not the only one who's had the problem. If not mistaken Linedoctor your's was a 2012. Perhaps they switched suppliers.

Rain X works great for a bit. Until it doesn't. Seems to lose effectiveness after multiple hits of saltwater spray.

In my case my port side wiper flew off the side of the boat during a thunderstorm after about 5 months of ownership. Fortunately I had a spare (back at the marina). When I installed the spare I noticed the problem. The wiper on the Port side had the same issue. It is still the factory installed wiper. After being used a bit have to reset the wiper into the arm.

Both windshield wipers stopped working on the way home from taking delivery. We were in rough bay water with nearly continuous spray. Not exactly a great first impression.

The next day I examined the wiper arms and using an Allan key retightened the arms. It has happened again but not frequently. Wiper tightening is now part of my weekly check of the C30 systems.
