Windshield wiper

The windshield wiper on my middle window on the starboard side rotates but does not hit the window. I believe the spring is off as when I pull it away it doesn’t snap back like the others. Is there a way to fix the spring or do I need to replace the whole blade.

The hinges get clogged with salt. Flush the hinge with fresh water or Salt Off while working the hinge back and forth to see if the spring comes back to life. If it does, spray it with some lubricating oil. I have to do this process on all wiper hinges several times a season. If that doesn’t do it you may have a broken spring.

I also found ( as recommended by Gansett Ranger) that you should remove the plastic cover on the knuckle. It may not look as pretty, but that cover holds the water and crud. I removed mine a while back and with washing down regularly and lubrication I have no issues.
