My wine cooler doesn't seem to cool. I set the temperature to 40 deg. but it never seems to get any cooler than 75 deg. Any ideas?

The wine coolers are not very efficient.
Placing some ice packs in them to bring the temperature down before adding pre-chilled wine bottles or whatever else you keep chilled will help.
I've also heard that cutting ventilation holes in the fiberglass behind the wine cooler allows better air circulation for the cooling mechanism. We live in the Pacific Northwest, so haven't needed to do that since it rarely gets hot here. If you cut carefully, you can buy louvered heating duct vent caps like the ones on the A/C heat ducts to make it more attractive.

The wine coolers are ambient air coolers... meaning they can only cool so much based on the ambient air temp. They don't have a compressor like a real fridge. They are power hogs as well. Ours is in the attic... Now I have a nice storage area under the navigators seat 😀

I think that they can only cool 20 degrees below ambient. Pretty worthless and in my opinion. And yes, a power hog.
