Our wine refrigerator doesn’t seem to hold temperature. Our weather has been warm, so the inside of the boat has been quite hot, but our regular refrigerator has been holding temperature just fine. I looked up the Dometic user manual and it confirmed that you just push the plus or minus buttons to increase or decrease the temperature - nothing tricky there. What are your experiences with this? Does the unit need a check-up?

Ours acts the same way, it never gets down to the temperature setting. There is not much ventilation room on ours so maybe that is a reason for the poor performance?

yep they suck 🙂 and why a lot of people just pull them off the boat.

you could try cutting some air holes at the back of the fridge to let the hot air out into the cabin below

Ours works fine. Not made to freeze, think keeps cool at about 50degrees

We started leaving the AC on set to 85 because the boat was getting really hot. Now that we do that, the wine fridge stays right around 55. The temperature of the interior makes a big difference. I wonder of some insulation on the glass would help? May not look great though...

It makes a great spot for a garbage can ; )

Thanks for all of your replies. I kind of figured it was the inside temperature of the boat. Well, at least when the A/C is on and / or the weather is cooler it will function properly. It does make for a fun conversation piece when you have new guests aboard.
