Winter Storage

I like to keep the fuel tank topped off on our 21 EC during winter storage. Does anyone have a favorite diesel fuel additive they like, to keep the fuel fresh?

If you have a Yanmar use FPPF Marine Diesel Treatment http://www.fppf.com/index.php/products-by-name?task=catalog.product&id=16 This is what the instructor at my Mack Boring Yanmar class recommended. He said use nothing else but this product.

I use it religiously, even in season.

I used BioBor, with an anti-algae additive. I'd have to get the exact version, but they sold it at West Marine.

What ratio do you mix?

If you are referring to fppf, I use 1 bounce per 11 gallons as an easy calculation.

Glad we read this post. We haven't used an additive, but, as knot flying noted, it seems to make sense to add with each fill up.
