Hello,

I have a 2021 R25. My question is is it necessary to pour antifreeze into the water tank and waste tank despite the tanks emptied. Perhaps there may be some residual water left at bottom? But I was informed to pour a whole gallon in each. Does this sound right?

I'm located in New Jersey.

Thanks!

The purpose to add a gallon of antifreeze to the tanks is so you can run the pumps to winterize them.
Your actually winterizing the system, not an empty tank. Stay warm! Bob

I only add pink to waste tank as to run it through the macerator/system. I don’t add to water tank as it’s a pain to flush all the residual taste/smell out in the spring.

In lieu of this I drain and bypass the water heater (don’t want pink in there either) then disconnect the water input line to the pump. I then temporarily connect the pump to a gallon of antifreeze using a pice of similar hose. Use this to run the pump until pink is evident at all taps (hot and cold). Takes about 1-1.5 gallons to do this.

We are in Jersey as well.

I thoroughly run antifreeze through the macerator, sinks, toilet, water tank, raw water wash down. Once all done is it necessary to pour antifreeze into the tanks? I don't think so. Maybe a little for any residue water at bottom of tanks.
