Winterizing NextGen Generator

When winterizing NextGen Generator do I need to remove the hose and put a funnel on it or can I just put the antifreeze right in to the sea strainer?
 
I think it will all depend if the generator will draw through the sea strainer or not. My mase gen will draw the antifreeze through the strainer. If it doesn't draw adequately remove the discharge hose and put a funnel in it as you mentioned. I do the A/C with the funnel.
 
You can use the strainer. Works great. I just did mine last week.
