Hi everyone. This is my first year attempting to winterize my 2011 R25 and looking fort tips (help) from others who have done the same. The boat is on a trailer in my yard and I am expecting extreme winter night lows of -10 C (about 14 F) a few times over the season.
The Yanmar 4BY2 manual has a six step procedure on page 70. Step 3 is to remove the raw water pump cover .... see your authorized dealer. That's not much help. ???
Should I be concerned about the raw water in the heat exchanger, exhaust, wash down pump, head supply line.?
The washdown pump and holding tank drain pump should still have salt water in them.
I have the fresh water system purged with plumbing antifreeze.
Poured plumbing antifreeze in the head and pumped it through the line to the holding tank.
Will disconnect all batteries and remove the bilge drain plug. Do I need to pour some plumbing antifreeze in the bilge and run the pumps or can they handle the freezing?
Oil change complete.
Thanks
Mark

Once the batteries are fully charged, you onlY need to disconnect the negative, yellow, cables from each battery.

This was posted some time ago for the R29, you can use it for your R25 also. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=762
You do need to protect all the raw water systems, salt water will freeze around 28 degrees F
I do not remove the raw water pump cover, it is full of antifreeze after you run 2 gal of antifreeze through the engine. I save that P.I.A. job for the Spring when I replace the impeller.

Thanks for the replies. The procedures provided sounds fairly straight forward.
