Looking for someone with a 2011 R-27 who could send me a photo of the wiring on the back of the Nav Lights switch on the DC distribution panel

I am having difficulty getting the Anchor Light to work (bulb is functional).

I suspect previous owner may have switched some of the leads.
A diagram of the colored wires from someone with a functioning switch would also work.

I contacted Andrew Curtis at the Ranger factory and he told me he doesn’t have a wiring diagram for that particular switch so wasn’t able to help.

Thanks, in advance, for suggestions.

Did you check the connections outside? There is a screw in connector near the base of the mast. Disassemble it and clean up the connections as well as where the wires get screwed in.

If the mast light is inop in both ON positions of the Nav Light switch, it’s very likely a fault in the screw-in connector at the base of the mast, as Knotflying suggests. The cause of the inop mast light on my 2012 R27 was a broken wire at one of the pins in that connector. Because of deteriorated seals and strain relief in the connector, I replaced the whole connector. It’s a Sea Dog 426234-1.

If the mast light works in one of the Nav light ON positions, then it’s either a problem with the switch or the way it’s wired. If you determine that it is a wiring issue, I will try to photograph the wiring on my Nav light switch.

Try the anchor light switch

If the anchor light works it would be a nav switch issue (IMHO)

I'll be visiting my 2012 R-27 this AM.
I'll try to get a shot.

A shot of the switch panel is in my photo album. First page I think.
The nav lights are the 2nd switch from the left.
It includes the red, the grey/black and grey/red and yellow wire. Now that I'm home looking at the photo I'm wondering which is which. My wiring diagram is back at the boat.

If you need that info, let me know I'll dig it up and post it too.

Oh wait, I found a scan on my laptop.
The lighting schematic is now in my album. Should be easy to find.

The tiny yellow wire is just the ground wire for the lighted switch.
Good luck.
