My daughter had the day off from school today so I suggested she drive down to the Kent Ranger plant to see how our new boat was coming along. Jeff informed me that construction had started this past Monday so I wasn't really expecting it to be too far along. But I needed to have something for my daughter to do to keep her busy, and she is so excited about this boat, no sooner had I suggested this than she was out the door.

Mark and the team at the factory were just super nice to her. They interrupted their busy schedule to take the time to show her around. I am just really impressed with this entire company.

To our surprise, apparently a lot of progress can be made in just five days:

SUH-WEET!!!

I'm sure you're totally excited, as you should be. When do you take delivery of it? Maybe we should get a group of R-21 ECs together for a kind of autumnal armada? 🙂

I guess your R-21EC was the one I saw under construction when I visited the Ranger plant a few days ago. One of the things that pleased me was see the R-21 EC at a point in construction that I could see how all of the larger panels and pieces fitted together. Left me with a better understanding of where/how to find things.

The day I visited, Andrew had tested a new R-21 EC. Probably an hour after he returned with vessel, the new owners showed up to see their new acquisition. They were excited!

I know you'll be pleased with yours. They're are great boats.

JtheK, I'm not sure when she will be completed, but it will sometime later this month. It might be pushed out a bit for a small plotter unit that keeps getting delayed by Garmin. But sure, I'd be up for a get-together once we get settled.

Gene, I like your idea about seeing the earlier stages of construction to be able to know where everything goes. I need to get down there myself and get that understanding. Too late for my boat, but I could just see the next one they are working on at the time. Good idea. Thanks.
