Installed the new Portland Pudgy today, with the Weaver Davies, and Standoffs. Not a fast as I figured but came out great. Ran the pudgy around the marina was was surprised by the power of the Torgueedo motor. This little thing will scoot.
I had to move out boat to a face dock to do the install as we normally park stern in to our slip. While moving back after install I ate a stern thruster shear pin so first time backing into slip with the pudgy on the back was sans thruster. Worked out fine but then the rest of the afternoon was taken up replacing the shear pin. Not fun at the best of times!. I would think that they could give you an additional 1/2” of clearance between bolts and housing. Even with special tool there is just not enough.
I guess I earned a cold one,
