Is the standard a holding tank that has to be suctioned out, or is there a macerator and overboard pump?

We have the macerator and overboard discharge, but have not been far enough off shore to legally discharge overboard. Here in Washington free pump out stations are plentiful, so we've never had the need.

We have the macerator. I think it is optional equipment. Like Brad says, in Washington there are plenty of pump out options so it is not needed (or legal). Further north in the larger passages we have used the macerator. Both options work well.

We have a new R31S with maserator and pump works great, used it off shore Catalina Island. Subsequently found hose hook up at Home Depot so before winterization could flush to cleanouts in yard. look in this forum there is an existing thread that lists the hose type and information on pump out on land as an RV/Boat
