Hi,

We went for the Yachtbedding mattress for the stateroom in our Cutwater 28. It really does improve the comfort for sleeping 😀 .

Not sure I want to keep it there all the time though. However, its a bit bulky to roll up and put in the cave. Is there any other solution for storage? Or do most people just leave it in place?

Thanks

Quite honestly when considering the expense of employing the Yachtbedding products I'm apt to explore simply replacing the stock cushions with a material offering better/soft sleeping conditions. This then solves any storage issue.

This sleeping comfort issue has received so many postings I'm a bit surprised RT/CW have not looked into providing soft, firm, hard cushions to their customers. Would this be a difficult feature to be offered I wonder?

We did the Yacht Bedding mattress and well and love it! We leave ours in place all the time. We use the cave for all our storage needs.

After using the boat for a couple seasons without a topper we found we rarely moved the cushions. The space in the center underneath was actually more convienient for storage (without moving the cushions) than the side compartments. Excellent for keeping all your beverages, heavy stuff low and forward. Other V-berth compartments are for rarely used items (spare anchor, spare prop, ballast bags to offset port/aft list in starboard compartment, etc.) We now have a topper that stays in place all the time.

Hi All,

I also used Yatchbedding for a mattress topper, sheets, comforter, accent pillows. Wonderful company/people to work with and the product is excellent. Not cheap, but US craftsmanship and a quality product (kind of like ranger tugs). Very glad I did. Highly recommend!

Late to this post, but ditto on everything that Scott said. We did a full plunge into what Yachtbedding offers, and give it all an enthusiastic multiple thumbs' up.

We also bit the bullet and went with the full package of topper. fitted sheets, blanket and comforter and glad we did. Great service and you cant beat quality but pricey as previously mentioned by others. Very comfortable.....

I looked on the website and I see the section for Ranger Tugs. But, it doesn't allow you to specify the model of boat. Doesn't the sheet set etc need to be different for each Ranger Tug model and length of boat etc?

I just gave them a call when we bought ours. Great people! They have all the templates for the various boats and will get you what you need.

We bought a 3” foam pad for stateroom and it makes the bed very comfy.

We use use the YachtBedding mattress on our RT 29, and had one for our 25 as well. We have found it totally worth the price, both for comfort and for ease of bed-making.

With that said, I just added a 1.25 inch memory foam layer on top of the mattress. I was told by the company that the fitted sheet may not then fit. It does, quite well.
