Yamaha F300 Remote Throttle?

I go solo just about 90% of the time on the Mississippi River.
Naturally, I must be on the bow to tend the rode into the locker when raising anchor on my 2019 R-27.
I need to be able to bump the throttle in and out of fwd to neutral and back while raising anchor in the 3 to 4 mph current.

Has anyone found a remote control that will do this, or should I just rig some paracord (with stops) and a pulley? 🙂

I have seen the same motor with dual controllers on various boats, so it is doable. All you need is the transmission control for in and out of gear. If you look in my photo album you will find a unit I installed for cockpit control of engine. I would think yours is electric controlled, so maybe just a switch would work? It can be done but I would do a lot of research be for attempting! Bob
