Yamaha O/B key duplicate

Only got 1 set of keys with delivery. The Yamaha ign. key is very odd -short (#847) and encased in plastic sleeve, so almost impossible to make a dupe. Any idea how/where to make/order a backup key?

I was able to obtain an additional key for my Yamaha 300HP engine at my local Yamaha service shop. I was lucky as the keys are numbered and they had one that matched my original key.

Tony S @PYC said to recheck among the (massive number of) manuals and remotes in the Black Bag...there they were, an extra set. Who knew? Thanks.

I found my extra set a few months after delivery in the pocket of the bag they gave me. Extra door key was there as well. IF you lose one I do think you have to get them from a dealer as I don't think you can have one made.

I have ordered spare keys for my main and kicker from Shipyard Island Marine. Actually anything you need for a Yamaha motor these guys have been extremely helpful. All you need is the number imprinted on the key.
