Does anyone know the part # for Yanmar Starter or the Part # for a non-Yanmar version?
 
It pays to do your shopping for a Yanmar starter. I replaced mine this past summer. I was quoted $1200 thru a Yanmar dealer. A local automotive / truck electric repair shop found me a replacement Bosch starter new for $620. Then I had them rebuild the old one for $300. The new one fit perfectly and works perfectly. Note that you will need to take off the intake manifold to remove the starter. I had a knowledgeable mechanic do the work which was paid for by the money saved on the starter.
