Yanmar gauge reads blank oil temp not pressure

2011 C26 Yanmar 4BY2 helm gauge used to read oil pressure, no surprises noted until - it suddenly displays a blank gauge (no needle) entitled "oil temp" with a blank digital reading below. Bad sender? Or have I somehow changed readouts while fiddling around? Recent history includes some startling drops into wave troughs beyond my comfort level, maybe I've shaken something loose? Remaining readouts normal, oil level normal, coolant temp normal.

I’ve accidentally changed settings on my “smart” meter and ended up with a blank oil temp since my Ranger only measures pressure. Maybe what happened to you.

Yup.
Turns out the thing is customizable, I was trying to get max brightness and I guess actuated the customization change. Found the Teleflex 5600 series manual in an ancient Custis post here at:

Should be close enough to intuit my way to resolution.

Confirmed/fixed: on my 2011 model the simplest route is
/Setup (hold down 5th key long press until popup)
/Default gauge
/OK
... resets to original configuration, now fix backlighting & contrast with short-press 5th key.
