Long story, but I ended up with a Yanmar oil filter after some maintenance was performed on the 4BY2-180 in my 2012 R27 earlier this year. Before stowing it in my parts storage drawer, I opened the Yanmar box to inspect the filter. The filter Yanmar puts in their box is a Mann HU-722. So if you’re doing an oil change, buy the Mann filter for $13 instead of paying Yanmar five times as much for the exact same filter.

Yes, lots of options for the Yanmar 4BY2 filters.

For the primary fuel filter Racor R20T that’s available for about $25 US. Search on “Racor” for more info.

A company in Southern California makes a replacement for the air filter used on the 4BY2. It’s claimed to be a bit better in reducing engine noise. Se this thread.
