Yanmar Tech Notes from Diesel School

I have a yanmar 4 cylinder turbo on my boat and am unaware of a stop bottom to prevent the engine from starting when key is turned. I am missing something? Does this button exist on a R25sc?

Those notes are from a class for older style mechanical diesels. We do not have a stop cable on our common rail electronically controlled engines.
The concern was about getting oil flowing prior to starting the engine after a prolonged period without being run. Since we use synthetic oil it flows well immediately upon starting and I would not be concerned about a method to crank the engine without allowing it to start.

To the left of the ignition switch there is a red locking tab. I believe this is an emergency stop switch. With the locking tab removed the engine should not start, I've never tried it but this is how most outboards are set up. A lanyard would be attached to the tab and other end to the operator. If the operator was thrown overboard the engine stops.
