As a new 2008 R25 owner, I have replaced the anodes on the thrusters, the prop, and the stabilizer fins. Is there a comprehensive list in the factory stuff or here on this website of what and where other anodes are and how often they should be replaced. I hear of engine anodes and generator?? Where and how often?

There are two anodes on the Yanmar 4by2 on the aft end of the heat exchanger and innercooler. They are available from Boatzincs and take either a 22mm or 23mm offset socket to remove.

If you have the 4by2, they are clear on the parts list.

Mine last about 90 days, I think that is typical for the 4by2

N.B. When removing the engine pencil anodes they may at first glance look in good condition. However, don't be fooled as these pencil anodes erode from the inside. To test for this, grip the anode between thumb and index finger and squeeze fairly hard. If the anode collapses under this pressure you know there's a need for it to be replaced. The lower anode will erode faster than the upper one as it's always subject to surrounding water.

If you have the Yanmar 4jh3-dte 125 HP there are no anodes to change.

I have a 2015 R 25sc with the standard Volvo 150. Are there anodes on that engine as well?
