Happy new year.
I have an R27 with the canvas cover on the back and I want to replace it with something else besides canvas does anyone have any ideas or photos of different options.
Thank you.

Jim

Sequel, a R27 Classic has the hardtop.
The boat was sold after its trip to Alaska and back in 2018 and is now in Idaho.

Here is a link to the Blog. Several pictures of her. If you search Sequel for sale, you'll find the info on the new owner, who is a member here.

Hello, I am thinking of removing the canvas and poles on my R27 in the back that covers the seating area I was wondering how it will look without the canvas cover. If anyone has photos or thoughts would help.
Thank you

Jim, If you remove the canvas Bimini you'll most likely find that water will leak at the top of the main cabin door and the swing up door. Removed mine for cleaning and discovered this. Ranger Tug installed a thicker seal but it still is not water tight. Hopefully someone else has found another seal that deals with this better.

Wow, thanks for the info on removing the bimini I will keep it on for now.
Thank you, Mike.

We have a brand new R27 OB and rear swing-up window leaks; a lot. I assumed it was a one-off QC mistake of some sort. Is this common?

Thank you,

Danny

I have the same issue. I take my Bimini top off in the rainy season (Nov to March) and water gets in the cabin. Not a lot, but it does mean there is more moisture inside than I’d like. I take the canvas off to stop it from stretching due to rainwater accumulating. Would be good if Fluid Motion added a lip above the door and the swing up door.
