Command bridge seat problem

The captain’s bench on my CW 32 CB command bridge will not secure in any seated position. It is a new boat, so I cannot figure out what is going on. The picture shows what I am referring to (the black fitting won’t stay on the stainless steel bar and secure the seat position). Any clues on how to fix it?

Can’t help. But since this is a new boat, why not reach out more directly to the factory? They are usually very helpful on issues that arise under warranty.

That one looks a little different from mine but did you pull the pin, lift that bar out of the way and see if it will latch onto the one below?
