I've encountered conflicting information about the diesel tank at the rear of the boat. Is it for the generator? Or just extra fuel?

I see the fuel transfer pump in the starboard hatch. Where is the main fuel tank?

Also, my Yanmar engine computer is only showing one fuel tank labeled as Fuel Tank 3 and it seems to always show 28-32% full regardless of how much fuel is in either tank. Do others see multiple fuel tanks on their computer?

Hi,
I have the same boat and my fuel gauge is always at a quarter tank no matter what. The second tank is 50 gallons and there is no gauge that I am aware of. I use the Garmin fuel gauge on GPS that shows burn and gallons remaining. I find it to be accurate to about 3 gallons which is pretty good.

Thanks Boaty. The "Garmin fuel gauge on GPS" that you mentioned, is that a feature on the chartplotter or something? Sounds like that would work for me too.

It is on Chart plotter mine is on the bottom of my screen next to Knots. Not sure if that's a default or previous owner set it up like that. It needs to be reset ever fill up its not mechanical it works thru GPS computer and measures fuel flow.

Thanks. I see in the chartplotter manual how you reset that. My chartplotter doesn't show those menu items so I must be missing something that makes that work. I'll have to resort to tracking mileage myself to make sure I don't run out.
