This is a long shot...
Looking for information/suggestions for a permanent install on the Starlink Gen 3 cable on our R29.
We use the unit only while in our slip in the harbor and not while underway. This summer we came up
with a temporary solution of running the cable from the forward rail aft to the area above the aft freezer.
This worked OK with the exception that anytime we headed out for the day and to stay away from the
"Mobile Priority" cost, we were having to unplug the power brick and the router and storing in the cabin.
Ideally I would like to have the cable routed to an area in the cabin and a power supply with a switch to
disconnect power rather than always having to unplug the cables.
Since we travel with the unit, the components need to be easily accessible for removal but I've purchased
another cable for that purpose..

Looking to see if anyone has installed just the cable and added a power switch.

Thank you!

Not really sure about where to mount it on the Ranger tug as I have a cutwater. But they makes lots of different mounts that could allow you to mount it on your mast to easily route the wires into the cabin.

Just a note when you have the roam subscription that is for land use only it still works great at anchor and while cruising. This summer I spent some time with my Starlink working while cruising at 7 knots and had zero issues.

Thanks Tristen! That said we do have the Roam plan and we run at about 14-18 knots so well above the 10mph restriction. But thanks for the quick response!

I installed Starlink and LTE/5g on an R29 for a boater. They had the gen 2 dish, but it would work for a gen3 dish as well. I also put in a 12 volt dc conversion so everything ran off 12 volts. No inverter required.

They had a command bridge which made the install a lot cleaner and easier.
