Garmin GHC 20 Autopilot

I have a 2015 Ranger Tug 27,and am having an issue with my Garmin GHC 20 Autopilot it comes on for about 5seconds and what I see is bright screen showing settings but no ability to access display . The screen goes blank and I am unable to turn the brightness up. If I look at the screen from an angle I can barely see but it seems to be working.
Has anybody had a similar expierienceand if so did you manage to correct it

If there's no issue with the display's backlight then you should be able to cycle thru the brightness levels just by repeated quick pushes to the power button.
