Looking at a 2020 R27 to buy. I noticed that with the house switch on I can hear the bow bilge cycle on than off Etc. I checked the bow and no water at all.
Is this just cycling to check for water and can I turn it off. Could be very distracting while sleeping Etc.

That's operating correctly. It checks for water every few minutes and pumps only if necessary. Some have found it annoying and changed to a float switch. We soon got used to it and I now find it reaassuring.

On our '21 R27OB, all three factory-installed bilge pumps cycle on every ~2.5 minutes to check for water. The bow bilge is a low profile model that can be converted to electronically sense a high water level. This mode disables the cycling function so you can get some sleep. To convert it, twist the body of the pump to remove it from the mount, turn it over, and reinstall. There is a slider switch on the pump body that allows you to select high or low water levels.

Actually, the slider selects sensor mode or timer mode. Turning the pump selects either H or L the reason i know this is, mine was acting wonky and running sometines hours at a time. So I bought a new one. Well in reading the directions i found that in sensing mode which mine was in, if the white dots on the side of the pump get dirty, its telling the pump to turn on. I cleaned the dots and guess what, the pump works perfectly. I now have a nice new spare. Testing the pump in sense mode, you put your fingers over the dots for five seconds and the pump should run. Oh and its best to keep the pump in L mode (default).
