port and starboard cockpit hatches bad gaskets leaking, R27LE

The cockpit port and starboard hatch gaskets are allowing water to get into the compartments. What are the best gaskets to install to seal it up?
2020 R27 LE. Factory oem would be good. I know I have to scrap the old gaskets off the hatch covers.

Are the gaskets still pliable? Not cracked? It might just be that you have to adjust the latches. I've readjusted mine so that it requires a slight pressure down on the hatch to be able to turn the latch, and that seems to keep the lazarettes dry. If it is the gasket material, any self adhesive hollow weatherstripping should work.

My wife and I took possession of a 2016 R31CB and we too had an issue with the lazarette seals, I asked around and finally decided to remove a chunk of the seal and took it to a local textile shop (Pioneer Aerofab, Skagit WA). The owner quickly identified the material as neoprene (available via Amazon).

I ordered a 4/5 thickness and started the install on my boat, 4/5 is too thick! I then went to back to Amazon and ordered 2/5 thick x 0.75 wide neoprene.

Removed all old material port and starboard, cleaned area with isopropyl alcohol, installed the new neoprene (had adhesive already on the neoprene). Once installed I tightened the latch to insure the pressure was constant and did not open either hatch for about a week. All went well.

Any chance you can post a link to the seals that worked. I’m working on finding a good quality seal with strong adhesive. I had had also tried some 1”x0.5” that was too thick really nice quality though. 1”x.25” seems to be the right size
