Smoke Alarm

On our 2011 RT 27 with the head aft the smoke alarm was mounted in the Cabin, above the propane Cook Top, on the forward side of the head wall. Problem is each time we light the Stove the Alarm goes off and we have to take down and put out in the cockpit. Anyone else have this issue and how did you cure (besides leaving the Battery out of the Alarm). Thanks

Don't let the smoke out of your food!!!
I have an R29 and I wedge the smoke alarm above the clothes rod above wine cooler. No screws, it stays there. When the smoke comes out of the food, I put the whole alarm under the forward berth blankets.

I mounted our smoke alarm on the small ledge in the overhead just aft of the helm seat/copilot seats in the centerline location. It was a perfect fit for one of the round, 5 inch or so smoke detectors.
