My 2021 R-31 CB has been charging reliably from shore power, but suddenly the house battery has stopped charging. It appears to charge slightly from the solar if I remove all load, but even running the refrigerator drops the voltage rapidly. I can't find a fuse or breaker to check, and the locations i n the documentation don't sem to match this vessel. Please let me know how I can proceed to troubleshoot. Thanks!

Are you showing shore power on your 120 volt panel?
If not, open the aft cockpit seat and check the ELCI breaker(s) to see if it was tripped.

Shore power shows 122v. I have 1 and 2 paralleled. looking at the voltage on the solar display panel, if I turn on the fridge it starts dropping slowly, but if I turn off the fridge it rises slowly (cloudy day here). Is there a diagram or image showng the location of the ELCI breakers?

On my 2015 RT31, the ELCI breakers are just above the shore power inlets. To get to them, open the aft cockpit seat. You should see them where the seat back was, high up on the port side, very near and above the shore power inlet(s).

Found them untripped. Tested both successfully. House battery voltage shown as 11.1v. I can turn on the Parallel battery switch and the Engine battery brings it up to 12.4v, will probsbly make 12.7 after charging a while. What else can I check?

The meter shows SHore Power 1, but none of the AC switches on 1 are powered. Apparently the AC Panel schematics are top secret.

Possibly the ACR relays are tripped? You can check on the relay itself. Have you reviewed the R31 videos on power systems

If your ELCI's are on and your meter on the panels shows 122v, then your inverter is not passing the voltage onto the 120 outlets and the charger portion of the inverter is also not operating. I would focus next on the inverter. Is the 12v battery switch near the inverter in the on position? Is the ANL fuse near the inverter good?

If these two items are OK, then the problem could be the a/c relay in the inverter not operating properly. I have found email help from the Kisae techs to be good and fairly quick on the response. You want to rule out inverter issues before proceeding to battery issues.

What is the inverter display reading?

I have Xantex 3000 on 2014 R31cb 2trs after install the output from inverter stopped . The inverter needed a firm ware update and like magic it went back to having a DC output . I don’t know if Kisae is similar but you could check their web site to see if they offer firmware update. Just a thought.

I have the Xantrex 2000 on my 2014 R31S after the last one died. Now this one is showing same symptoms. How did you update the firmware.? I cant even get the thing to turn on. I have hit the breaker on the side, and did try a reset by taking off the DC hot and neutral leads for 5 minutes and then reconnected. I've got AC running thru it but the battery charger is not working and the unit will not turn on.

Mike , I went to Xantex.com. Looked for firmware upgrade, I just checked and 2000 firmware is there . Select down load and put on thumb drive to take to boat . There is an identifier ( for lack of correct term ) that downloads with it so inverter recognizes it and transfers to inverter when you plug thumb drive in. Further instruction are on there website , I believe power down and back up and like magic everything works and has been fine since . Almost 2 yrs to the day mine acted up ( appeared dead in the water ). Hope this revives your 2000.
