Happy Friday Tugnuts!

The event is filling up fast but we still have room for some boats at this year's Fluid Motion Factory Rendezvous at the happiest place on earth (IMHO 😉), Roche Harbor. The theme is Disco on the Dock so bring your best 70's outfit and vibe. We have some great seminars lined up for this year's event, including a talk by Julia and Mike Berteleson of https://www.youtube.com/@expeditionseanest, recent Passagemaker magazine cover stars, about their adventures on their R-25.

Thanks to Brett and Michelle on R-25 Michelita, we're adding a pickle ball challenge to the agenda this year as well! This will be fun for all skill levels so if you've been wanting to see what all the hype is about, this will be a great chance to get a Pickleball lesson and some hands-on experience. We have equipment to use and we have the courts reserved, it's going to be a blast!

We'll also have the 2026 Solara lineup on the dock for the first time in addition to the 2026 Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters. This year's event will have another packed schedule with a little bit of something for everyone. We hope you can join us for a fun, long weekend to celebrate the best community on the water!

Sam, will there be any recap or recordings of the seminars for those who aren’t able to attend?

Hi Sam

Will you be posting any details of the agenda for the rendezvous? I’m wondering if there are any seminars of interest to classic owners or even generic stuff like Garmin or anchoring? Of critical interest to someone from Canada is the included food. Border restrictions really limit the food that can be imported so having dinners provided rather than snacks, as an example, is critical. The store at Roche is very limited and expensive.

The grocery store, a short walk from Friday Harbor on the other side of the island, is very well stocked and reasonably priced. Friday Harbor offers free temp moorage for a trip to town.

I would also extend the offer to our friendly Canadian neighbors if you want items like meat, eggs, fruit to bring them along with us. We will be arriving on Wednesday and would be very happy to help you out. I have a butcher shop next door to me or Costco and Safeway/Albertsons.

Feel free to reply or DM me.

Thanks Jeff, that’s really neighbourly and really appreciated.

Hi all, sorry for the delay. We should have the schedule wrapped up and posted by the end of next week. Chimo, as far as OEM equipment partners - Garmin will have a seminar as well as Yamaha and Volvo. There are several other seminars in the works that I will have confirmed shortly. We will serve snacks with happy hour on Thursday and Friday. Saturday is a heavy app/dinner bowl from Roche Harbor's Chef Shaw.

Jeff, that is a generous offer, very nice of you. I've also taken that shuttle into Friday Harbor several times, it's a fun trip and the store prices are more reasonable.

We hope you decide to join Chimo!

Sam
