Hello tug nuts,
Just purchased a 2013 R21EC. For the winter, I want to run a 110 volt heater in the cabin of the boat. As this boat has no shore power, there is no way to get 110 volts up into the cabin fron the plug at the back. Has anyone found a passage to be able to feed an extension cord under the cabin sole from the rear plug?
Many thanks for all replies,
Cheers, Steve

I used a stiff piece of wire (coat hanger stiffness) and fed it from the rear portside cup holder compartment up through to the cabinet below the stove/sink. Taped an extension cord to it and pulled it through. I just leave the plug loose inside the cabinet but you could easily mount and wire an outlet in the sidewall of the cabinet.

Thanks Newf, was looking around yesterday and found that passage. Will use an electrical fish tape to run a cord up.
Cheers, Steve

I put in 30 amp shore power. I turned the stock power inlet into an outlet. I put a distribution panel under the helm by the fridge. I put an outlet under that.

Thanks Todd!
Did you changer your smart charger to a an inverter charger so you have 110v when you’re running?
Thanks again,
Steve

No. Like you, my motivation was to run a heater/ dehumidifier in the cabin over the winter. I also use the outlet I created to power a block heater for the engine. That’s on a thermostat outlet. It might come on a dozen times thru the winter.

Thanks Todd!

No. I don’t need 110v while underway. Plenty of cabin heat and no fear of freezing.

Well I went down with a fish tape to run my electrical cable up to the cabin and promptly got the fish tape stuck! Now working out how to free it. There must be voids, weird angles insulation etc to get caught on. Should have used a thin long stick to feed instead of the metal fish tape I guess…
