Just purchased a 2021 R27 LE. I apologize if this is a basic question, but my previous boating experience is strictly 20th century. Does the red inverter switch above the lithium batteries need to be turned off when I leave the vessel, and switched on again before we are underway? I am on a mooring, so no shore power. Thanks for your help.

I am pretty sure that the inverter will draw power even if there isn't any load on it. So it is probably best to turn it off if you are leaving the boat. I only turn mine on when I need something that uses AC.

Thanks. It seems that if it does draw power, it seems negligible. Or at least less than the solar panels are generating. I will turn it off.

The inverter being on, draws about 10 watts. Over 24 hours being on, that's 20 amp-hours.
We only turn on our Inverter on when we need it.
