We have the stock 6 kg anchor on our 2013 Cutwater 28. We haven't anchored yet, but I must admit, it looks a little small. Has anyone actually anchored with the 6 kg and gotten a good night's rest. What did you upgrade to? We are looking at the Rocna 10, which seems to be the anchor for the Puget Sound.

Rocna 10 with Lingston BR-25D for extra clearance.

Swapped mine to a Lewmar claw 22lb. Works great. It will not roll off the anchor pulpit with out a little push though.

Fluid Motion used the same 7.5 kg Lewmar claw (Bruce style anchor) on Both the C26 and C28. The first year of owning my C26 2016 I anchored quite a bit with the 7.5 kg. Mostly in shallow anchorages of 10' to 15' deep so having the 50' of chain attached to the small anchor I did not have any issues using it. That said I never got a good nights sleep. It was a small anchor for that size boat in my opinion. I replaced it with a Rocna 22lbs with a Kingston bow roller assembly replacing the factory bow roller. It added more clearance and also it was a better design. I did sleep at night with that anchor. I kept the Lewmar as a spare but never used it until this year when I purchased a 208 Grady White. It is a perfect anchor for a 20' boat!! I haven't slept in this boat yet. If I did and did not get a good night sleep I probably would not blame it on the anchor!!!😎 I think the 7.5KG Lewmar is sized properly for the bow pulpit and boat I am using it on now!

Rocna 15kg on a Ranger 25sc. Added a Mantis swivel. No other mods needed.

We bought our C28 in 2021 new and when we picked it up my wife thought the anchor was to small (has a lot more boating experience than me). We decided to try it before replacing it and the anchor worked great even in some pretty serious winds. We always have a lot of chain out with roughly 15 feet of road and typically anchor in about 20 feet of water.
