I'm in the process of installing a Starlink Mini on the mounting used for the digital antenna. I found a nice adapter on Esty that looks to work well. Next, I need to run the Starlink cable to the TV area. I'm going to plug into the DC cigarette outlet there with a step-up converter.

My question is using the same run that the coaxial cable is using.

1. Has anyone done this and do you have any tips?
2. Are there panels I can remove to see where this cable runs?
3. Do you think it is wise to connect the Starlink cable to the coaxial cable via tape and pull them through that way?

Any suggestions are welcome.

This is the step up adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F6L7PYRD

Thanks!

We have the same boat, one year older. We had an original Starlink but chose to buy the mini before a 3 week trip north last month. The Mini proved to be a power sipper compared to the regular Starlink. We are lazy and merely set it in the dash when we weren’t underway, and it worked like a charm. We ran ours off an external EcoFlow battery with a USB-C, with a small solar panel charging the EcoFlow on sunny days. 3 weeks and never had a problem.

I’d be a little hesitant to use the coax itself as the pull cable unless you already know it’s loose all the way through. Boat builders love zip ties and hidden clamps, and one tight bend could turn a simple job into a headache.

If you can access both ends, I’d pull a lightweight messenger line with the coax first, then use that to bring the Starlink cable through. Protect the connector well and avoid any sharp bends or chafe points.

I’d also double-check that the DC outlet and step-up converter are rated for the Mini’s continuous load. Otherwise the plan sounds pretty clean if that antenna chase is usable.
Yes, I highly suspect you are correct. I'll see where it goes and try to follow it instead of pulling it.

I have been using a top rail, clamp on mount to great success, along with the Ryobi battery adapter to the Mini, or the Dewalt battery adapter. But I use my Starlink on my RV as well, with it's own mount, and I do not want a permanent installation high up on the tug, above the bimini cover, where I cannot take it down easily. You are going for a permanent installation. I do like the step up coverter, which is also sold with a 16 foot long cable instead of the shorter one you cited. Also on Amazon.
