Lithium changeover

I have a 2023 R31CB and wish to change to lithium FP batteries for all 6 existing AGM. I have been talking to a battery supplier in Florida who claims that is is literally just a drop in change if my solar charger has a Li charger setting {does it?}. Is it really that simple as they suggest?

Unfortunately, it’s not quite that simple. The inverter/charger you currently have does not support lithium batteries. You will need to install a standalone charger specifically for the lithium house battery bank. Your existing inverter/charger can still be used as an inverter, but it will no longer be used to charge the house batteries.

You will need an Abso 100-amp charger, Part # AC12100, for the house battery bank.

So would that mean that the starter and thruster batteries would be charged as they are now, and could remain AGM? Will my solar panel be able to charge the house batteries as it does now, if I put the new Abso part in?

Georgeboarhunter, you'll want to work with a reputable service center if you decide to swap to lithium. Like Jared said, it is not as simple as the battery supplier is making it sound. I believe there is more to it than is mentioned in Jared's post even.
