Burgee mount on bow rail of my Ranger Tug always twist when we cruise in moderate to heavy wind. By end of day, pole is not in a vertical/straight up position. This occurs no matter how much I tighten set screw. Any one else have this problem? Any remedies or suggestions re: different mount vs. factory provided mount with pole?

Common problem…easy fix…use a wrap of your favorite self volcanizing rubber tape under the mount and the flag pole will vertical at any speed.

I tried this on mine but the fit was so tight that I couldn't get the screw to line up and when I could, it didn't hold for very long. I tired of it so I drilled a hole up through the bottom of the bracket and into the rail, tapped it and then put in a set screw. I did this in my home shop with a drill press. It CAN'T move now.

I got rid of it. The burgee mast gets in the way of my video footage from the bow cam. I just fly the burgee from the mast.
