If you had to replace the solenoid on your force 10 stove line did you need to cut the wires on the existing solenoid and splice in the new one? Is there any way to check the solenoid without cutting the wires?

You should have a splice on the wires usually a butt connector, I would cut the wire there and be sure to have new ones available for reconnecting.

There really is no way to troubleshoot the system without breaking into the circuit. If the solenoid tests good with the ohm meter...check for voltage. If you don't have any then it's a bad switch or leak detector. You have to break into the circuit to test it.

That what I thought , need to cut the wires and have butt splicer available
