Ranger Tug,
From the 2022 R27 specification sheet, my hot water tank is a 5.3 gallon isotemp and does not have any bypass valve for taking the tank out of the freshwater system. My hot water heater tank has failed (leaking) and my freshwater pump, I think is a (3GPM Shurflo Aqua King model) ? will not prime and continues to run.
How to I drain the water heater correcting ? and how to I stop the flow of cold water coming from my freshwater tank (I just filled) from continually spilling into my bilge area ? after I remove the hot and cold water lines from the water heater ? is there a shut off value before the intake on my water heater ? I am not seeing one.

thank you

There is no shutoff valve before the hot water tank. However, you can turn off your freshwater pump, which will prevent the hot water tank from filling and stop water from draining into the bilge. This will give you time to replace the hot water tank. There is also a black valve on the hot water tank that can be turned to drain the tank.

Thank you Jared,
Replacement of the hot water heater successful, no more leaks. I do however have another problem. Filled up my fresh water tank, ran the fresh water pump for 20-30 minutes. Still could not get the system to prime and water pump shut off. Pump continues to run, and only a trickle of water comes out of galley sink. I checked my fresh water pump and disconnected the exit valve (hose) and water does exit the pump in a pulsing pumping fashion. Am I missing something? I must getting air somewhere in the fresh water system. Is there any particular location for these issues regarding R27 2022 OB ? Many thanks
