I have a 2012 R-25sc. As would be expected, the refrigerator is struggling in the increasing summer heat. As I look at the placement and installation I wonder how cooling air is circulated. Any insight would be appreciated.

This is what's behind the fridge of a 2011 R27. Likely very similar.
Through those holes is access to the side of the hull and more wiring that you'd imagine.

Bottom line, there is little to no circulation. I’ve thought of trying to fit some sort of cooling fan on my 2012 R27.

One of the issues is there is no type of insulation in the boat at all. Period. It’s hot when the outside is hot and cold when the outside is cold.

yeah, that's what it looks like to me as well. Perhaps a grill at the helm and a fan somewhere to pull air through that space. This is my first summer with this boat and it's obvious that there is a problem.

Thanks, in part, to the responses I've come up with a plan. I'm going to place a 5 inch axial fan, 130 cfm, in the lower corner of the helm compartment. I'll wire it into the cooling fan of the compressor so it runs only when the refrigerator runs. The ambient air pushed in and over the coils will exit through the cabinetry and the louvered doors. The fan produces 43 db of noise which should be no big deal. I'll drill the hole to a size an inspection port will cover just in case it turns out to be a flop.
