    Packing nut size R21 EC

    I'm not comfortable with using spanners or an adjustable wrench to loosen/tighten the prop shaft packing nut and lock nut. My preference is to buy an open ended wrench. My shaft is 1" and the nut appears to be 1 3/4" but could be 1 7/8". My caliper has repeatedly given me both numbers. Does...

    2007 R-21 EC prop shaft nut

    To loosen the prop nut do I turn counter clockwise while holding the lock nut. The lock nut being the narrow nut adjacent to the large nut? Please see photo. Kevin

    I've got another newbie question. If we're not using the cabin heater should the ball valve under the access cap, just aft of the door, be shut off?     The bilge on our 2007 runs continuously when the console toggle is switched on. Shouldn't it be automatic? That is, only run when it detects water above a certain level in the bilge?

    We have recently purchased a Ranger Tug and could not find answers for the following questions in the manual. When the bilge toggle is switched on is this the automatic or manual mode? Also, what does the 'water pump' toggle on the console do exactly?

    Ranger Tug R25 Classic climate control

    Looking at a 2007 R25 classic. No reverse cycle heat/A/C. Would there be anything from the factory on this boat in as far as a breaker, wiring, ductwork, or through hull? If not, adding might not be worth it?
