Question. How do y'all store the 1 lb propane bottles that are used with the rail mounted grill? I was going to make a 4" PVC pipe holder for 2 bottles and clamp it to the rail. The Admiral is not to keen on the idea. Any alternative suggestions?
Thanks,

Check out my photo album in the north channel photos, there’s is one that show my stern rail BBQ with the propane holder beside it. I made it from sunbrella and a zipper with web straps and fastex buckles. It holds three bottles. There is a grommet near the bottom to vent any gas that may escape. A strap secures it to the top rail and one along the side attaches to the down tube and keeps it from swinging. Also made a cover for the BBQ that has straps that wrap around the top rail too, just in case the unit gets loose.

That's exactly what I did except I made it to fit 4 bottles. I mount it on the top of the cabin along the hand rail and put two heavy duty tube socks on it for protection.. I use web strapping wound around it and the rail. I also drilled a hole in the end cap in case there is a leak. Works good, but storage for 4 bottles is maybe an overkill especially since it gets pretty heavy.
