How do I drain the oil out of the engine gearbox on my 2008 R25 Tug. There is no room at the drain plug to catch the oil.

I don't know your exact configuration but generally you can vacuum the oil out through the dipstick or fill hole. You will need an oil change pump, there are many out there. Northern Tool has a 12 volt one I really like for gearboxes - Ironton 12 volt extractor pump on sale now at $22.99!

Once you have extracted the oil, put an oil pad or a disposable aluminum bread pan under the drain plug, remove the plug and put a little clean oil into the gearbox to flush out any debris remaining in the bottom, capture that on the pad or in the bread pan. There may be a screen to clean at the drain plug depending on the gearbox you have. Put the plug back in with a new crush washer, fill the box according to the manual. Many gearboxes should not be filled to the top line cold, your manual will tell you where to stop, often it is mid way between the bottom and top line on the dip stick. By the way, the company is Cummins not Cummings.

The information aboutthe gearbox oil change was very helpful, along with the spelling of Cummins. Brain fart!

Happy to help, I mentioned the spelling because I know you won't find any parts searching with a misspelled name. Also on this site it is useful to be able to pull up all Cummins information using the search feature. If it is misspelled the next user will never find it. Good luck with the gearbox!
